Evoking ideas of agate, marble or rock formations, the design depicts explosive, abstract brush marks, creating a piece of immersive contemporary abstract art – from floor to ceiling. All this is accented when Hatoum catches the light with its mica sheen in Ivory, and metallic finishes in Ink and Slate, for a hint of glamour. With a beautifully tactile hopsack-texture, a soft-raised effect is created, further lending to the overall impression of the design as a display of wild, circular, organic forms.
