Description
The Stumpery at Highgrove is based on a Victorian concept of growing ferns amongst tree stumps and giving back to the earth. Ensuring nothing goes to waste, life springs and ferns sprout and flourish from the cracks and seams. Home to mysterious figures and sculptures, The Stumpery design depicts a classic temple built from green oak, a thatched treehouse, a wall of gifts made from gifted stones to His Majesty, and the Wood Nymph ‘Goddess of the Wood’. A beloved pattern from Highgrove by Sanderson – a collection developed in partnership with The King’s Foundation – the design has been reinterpreted and digitally printed onto water and stain-repellent outdoor fabric for the first time. It was unveiled at the 2026 Chelsea Flower Show as part of a curated extension to the Highgrove by Sanderson story.
