Wilton Weave, named in honour of the Wilton Royal Carpet Factory in Wiltshire, which once manufactured carpets for Morris & Co., has been thoughtfully reimagined. Retaining the distinctive symmetry and structure of its carpet origins, the design celebrates the intention behind the original artwork. Reminiscent of a tapestry, Wilton Weave is refined in its detailing: stylised flowerheads, scrolling foliage, and decorative dots all come together in a smart, balanced composition. Originally created by John Henry Dearle for carpet design, this piece has been adapted into a detailed flat weave fabric, robust yet elegant, in a cotton-linen blend. Morris & Co. x The Huntington – The Unfinished Works, is an exceptional series of designs created in collaboration with The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in California, USA.
